The B.Tech that never made Engineers

Seeing some forward message about being the born in 90s and all the ugly things we could do first I just thought that the same generation also happens to be prey to the new generation innumerable engineering colleges,  which are perhaps trying to over number the bus stops, even colleges with two bus stops make me think so.

it all starts with end of school, some "doooooor ka rishthedar" has a pomp life because he works in IT field and so the entire circle around u wants to join engineering and obviously you are not an IIT guy to be picked up ,so first u need to find a college,  that the first thing u do in the journey of dreaming to become an engineer, listen about many GOOD colleges from again  "dooooor ka rishthedar" and then go to GOOGLE and find about the college .I bet the journey starts with Google and next 4 years Google is a part of journey . now u see and awesome website with all the  shows, God knows what the college really has, even i was mesmerized when my college replied to an email i sent, even though i got the reply after a month, well better late than never, ah whatever now your parents slip an amount into the account of college and u JOIN a B.Tech, still remembering the looks on eyes of then seniors the day of joining ,now i understood what those looks meant.

First day at college ,again all the pomp and show, BIG engineers from college give all the advices and dreams and everything. parents are enlightened, but still the looks on face of seniors remain the same, seeing the labs and everything all are amazed, only to realize later that this is minimum of what should be available. the next day starts the first class, the only day when u see all present, a PROF comes in, starts class, and you are wondering whats happening around, only to be followed by the first lunch break when u really face the seniors, then things go funny for some ,serious for others, but at the end of the day its all fine, first year is all about doing things for the first time, bunking for first time requires a lot of effort, going to canteen, going the area where seniors are there. and the most unique thing is writing the first internal exams and university exams, the only exam at least some people study,t his might be what we call orientation, and we leave all this in the first year itself, with the dream of becoming SENIORS in the 2nd year.

2nd year starts the fun and joy, no problems remain under the sun that we DON'T create, and there are no problems without a solution ,the life is colorful, full of FRIENDS, MOVIES and what not, no one know how the time passes for rest  2.5 years, the difficult part is the last six months, you  wana enjoy your maximum, but that is where the burden of life starts setting in, remember that old "dooor ka rishthedhar", he comes to enquire  "beta kaaam mila?", but this time all the RISHTEDHARS come together, and all we can do is to make them happy by telling, NAHI MILA . the weirdest  situation where others want u to get a job irrespective of whatever u want to do next, and our poor parents who sometime don't  even have an idea of whats happening around, these 6 months is time when ur struggling between enjoyment and seriousness of life plus all the academic stuff u want to finish off with ,for some its about cherishing the good part of past life, for some its about regretting the past, and for some "phunkshuk wangdus" its all about calculating first months salary. Only to realize the last day of our college that my brain degraded in last 4 years  ( thanks to all teachers who became teachers just because they are paid) , i knew much more before that ,thanks to great schools we has been through, and the B.Tech still remains a question of what we did and what we shouldn't have done, rightly as one of ma friends said, "for me B.Tech was just a time between beijing 2008 and london 2012".
