ANNUAL GENERAL BODY MEETING 2018
MINUTES OF THE MEETING ASSOCIATION SAIKORIAN-HYDERABAD CHAPTER XXVI AGM
HELD AT THE OFFICERS MESS, NCC DIRECTORATE, SECUNDERBAD ON SATURDAY 01 SEP 2018
The Annual General body Meeting of the Association Saikorian - Hyderabad Chapter was held at The Officers Mess, NCC Directorate, Secunderabad on 01 Sep 2018 (Saturday).
The Secretary Lt Col G Kutumba Rao (Retd) called the meeting to order at 5 pm and welcomed the members present (48 members were present at commencement of the mtg) and the following Office Bearers were called up to occupy their positions on the Dias:-
President: Mr J S Rao
Secretary: Lt Col G Kutumba Rao (Retd)
Treasurer: Mr N Chandrasekhar
The meeting commenced by observing 02 minutes silence in remembrance of SAIKORIANS who departed to the heavenly abode during the year 2017-18.
PRESIDENT's ADDRESS
The President Mr J S Rao addressed the members and gave a brief on the activities being conducted at Krushi Home. He expressed his appreciation for the services extended by Mr Bangarubabu by ensuring that the meals programme was fully subscribed by donors. He also placed on record the appreciation of the Management Committee of all the corporates who supported Krush i Activities and donated generously.
He suggested that the General Body should consider starting a Rs. 1.00 Lakh free meal sponsor programme wherein, individuals who contribute Rs. 1.00 Lakh towards sponsoring meals at Krushi can become a permanent sponsor for life for a particular meal.
He stated that there is no change in the number of inmates of Krushi Home from the previous year.
He was pleased to inform the General Body that the Alumni of Krushi Home have started supporting Krushi activities through services and donations.
The President expressed his desire that Association Saikorian should initiate more Charity Oriented activities. At present the only activity that is being undertaken is running of Krushi Home.
He also suggested that younger Saikorian members in the Association should be invited to actively participate in Krushi activities.
He advised that there should be enhanced Social interaction amongst the members.
He informed the General Body that actions have been initiated to establish an All India Sainik School Alumni Federation. He attended their meeting held in Delhi in the summer of 2018, representing Association Saikorian and it was heartwarming to see substantial participation of representatives from all the sainik schools.
The members were circulated Audited Accounts for the Financial Year 2017-18. The members perused the Accounts. The Committee was advised to streamline the procedure of accounting of funds concerning the remittances for "Campus Challenge". There being no further observations/queries from the members, the accounts were passed by voice vote.
Appointment of Auditors for 2018-19:
It was intimated that M/s Chavali Associates have been the Auditors for the Financial Year 2017-18. The services rendered by M/s Chavali Associates and its proprietor Sri C Kameshwar Sarma were appreciated. Maj Madhukar (Retd) proposed to appoint M/s Lakshmi Associates as the Auditors till the next AGM and the proposal was seconded by Dr M Durga Prasad. The members present agreed to the proposal and M/s Lakshmi Associates were appointed as the Auditors of Association Saikorian-Hyderabad Chapter for the Financial Year 2018-19.
Election of New Office Bearers
Mr G V Rao & Mr Vijayabhaskar Reddy conducted the elections for the posts of office bearers of the Executive Committee for the year 2018-19.
The President of the Chapter:
The name of Mr M Bhaskar Rao was proposed by Mr J Ramseshu seconded by Maj T Anand (Retd). Mr M Bhaskar Rao was declared elected as the President of Association Saikorian-Hyderabad Chapter.
The Vice President of the Chapter :
The name of Mr M Bangaru Babu was proposed by Lt Col G K Rao (Retd) and seconded by Mr P Rajasekhar. Mr M Bangaru Babu was declared elected as the Vice President of the Association Saikorian-Hyderabad Chapter.
The Secretary of the Chapter :
The name of Lt Col K S Rao (Retd) was proposed by Mr K S R Chandra Mouli and seconded by Mr P Rajasekhar. Lt Col K S Rao (Retd) was declared elected as the Secretary of Association Saikorian-Hyderabad Chapter.
The Treasurer of the Chapter:
Members present requested Mr N Chandrasekhar to continue as the Treasurer. The name was proposed by Mr J Ramseshu and seconded by Mr B Gunaranjan. Mr N Chandrasekhar was appointed as the Treasurer of Association Saikorian-Hyderabad Chapter.
The Jt Secretary of the Chapter:
The name of Mr.Ravisankar was proposed by Mr Shyam Sunder and seconded by Mr Yagnakishore. Mr.Ravisankar was declared elected as the Jt.Secretary of Association Saikorian-Hyderabad Chapter.

An Ad-hoc advisory committee consisting of the under mentioned saikorians has been constituted to help in formulation of various Standard Operating Procedures and to render advise to the management committee of the Association Saikorian, Hyderabad Chapter on being approached for advice/Guidance :-

c) Mr B Gunaranjan, Roll No. 1460
After conclusion of the election of office bearers, The President threw the AGM open for any other points of discussion.
The young members of the Association shared their thoughts on the functioning of the Association and conveyed their willingness to take active role in the Association Affairs.
Lt Gen K R Rao (Retd) expressed his disappointment over certain unpleasant mails and messages that were exchanged within the Association and desired that members should refrain from creating such unhealthy environment within the Saikorian Community. He also reiterated the point brought by one of the members regarding creation of a separate Committee for overseeing the activities of Krushi and requested the new Committee to explore such a possibility.
Since there were no other points for discussion, the newly elected members were called up to assume the respective appointments of the Management Committee of Association SAIKORIAN - Hyderabad Chapter.
The new office bearers thanked the General Body for reposing faith in them and assured of running the Affairs of Association Saikorian Hyderabad Chapter to the best of their ability. Subsequently they introduced themselves to the General Body for the information of the Saikorians attending the AGM.

The Treasurer read out the Vote of Thanks for the outgoing committee and the Venue hosts, NCC Directorate, Secunderabad and all the individuals who helped in organizing the AGM.
