127th LBA Meeting 10 Apr 2018 Sainik School Korukonda : Minutes of

Dear Saikorians,

1. Attached please find the Minutes of the LBA Meeting of SSK held on 10 Apr 2018 for your info & perusal.

2. Salient points of interest to Association Saikorian are :

(a) 46 out of 81 Saikorians passing the UPSC Written Exam for 140 NDA Course. 13 of them cleared SSB. 04 of earlier batches also cleared SSB. 01 Saikorian selected for Navy Tech entry (Page 15 Point No. 1 refs). Heartening to see good number of Saikorians joining NDA. Hope this trend continues and Korukonda sends more Saikorians in the coming years. 

(b) Under Notes on Agenda S No. 40, page 14 the proposal for utilising services of Saikorians for UPSC & SSB Coaching has been agreed to by the Principal.

(c) Principal has also agreed to invite eminent Saikorians from varied walks of life to give Motivational Lectures to Saikorians on a regular periodic basis. The first of such lectures is scheduled to be addressed by Vice Admiral MS Pawar, HQ Eastern Naval Command. AVM GAP Babu, Dy Comdt, Air Force Academy is scheduled to give the next one followed by Air Cmde NN Reddy, DDG, NCC, AP & T Dte.
