1. Good Day to you all.
2. I had attended the LBA meeting held at the Eastern Naval Command under the Chairmanship of the FOC-in-C from 3.00 PM to 5.00 PM on 07 Sep 17.The highlights are summarized in the succeeding paragraphs.
3. At thhe outset, it is important for me to put on record the fact that We are fortunate to have been closely guided, administered and monitored by the ENC by their proximity and involvement. We are also fortunate for good financial grants both by the State Govt and MoD, due to which the school is in good shape. There is no dearth of money for all the infrastructure both capital expenditure and revenue/maintenance works.
4. The school had been getting adequate grants in aid both Non Plan and Plan. As a one time, I am giving the present status, for information of all. The aspect of sufficient funds being made available is evident from the balance of approximate funds and works in progress or being taken up till FY 2016-17 as under:-

5. My main reason of giving the huge infrastructural plans is to guide the future batches to plan correctly whenever they do wish to donate or contribute to the School and at the same time also inform all that we have no role in accounting or execution of any projects.
6. Other Issue of General Imformation.
(a) Diet supplement increase from Rs 20/- to Rs 50/- is in advance stage with the state govt, because of which Diet Charges per day per Cadet will go up from Rs 70.50/- to Rs 85/-.
(b) Subject Experts are taking extra classes towards NDA training.
(c) Introduction of E Learning packages.
(d) Approval of long due honorarium to NCC ANOs by the State Govt.
(e) Gifting of Obsolete furniture to local schools through District Collector.
(f) All India Entrance Examinations change over to the OMR based Examination.
(g) Solar power plant (On Grid – 500KW) in school premises is an advance stage of discussions.
(h) Academics.
(i) AISSE (ClassX) pass percentage is 100 and school CGPA is 9.19.
(ii) AISSCE(Class XII) pass percentage 100.
(iii) School has emerged as the best amongst all Sainik Schools in AISSCE on the basis of Performance Index secured.
(j) NDA138, 37 out of 71 had cleared UPSC and 9 made in the merit list. NDA 139 35 out of 75 have cleared the UPSC exam and SSB are in progress. 81 cadets have appeared for NDA 140.
(k) Parent Teacher meetings have been held so far on 09 Apr and 23 July 2017.
(l) Sports.
(i) Inter House games and sports competitions are being held regularly.
(ii) 50 cadets took part in Olympic run held at District Level at Vizianagaram.
(iii) School achieved 1st Position in Volley Ball and Basket Ball; 2nd position in Foot Ball in the South Zone School Sports Tournament 2017.
(iv) 9 cadets participated in the District Level Athletics selection.
7. I am not able to enclose selected powerpoint slides of the co-curricular activities and extra-curricular activities for non-receipt of the same from the school due to some communication problems at the school due to the recent inclement weather conditions and the resultant problems.
8. Any other information of interest can be obtained from the school.
9. Lastly, if any Saikorian has any inputs for the overall improvement of school in any field, the same can be forwarded to me or one can even address the same to the Principal, Col R Atri, who is very receptive and a positive person.
