Dear Saikorians,
1. Today is a day of immense pride for all us Saikorians, more so for the Batch of 1971-79 (The first 10 + 2 batch of CBSE).
2. Yet one of our own Maj Gen VS Sreenivas, VSM** (Roll No. 1063 Pandya / Chalukya - GARH RIF) has been approved for the Rank of Lt Gen (Command & Staff). He is presently in Army HQ, New Delhi, MGO Branch. (The formal result came out last night).
3. Let us wish him all the best in his new and more responsible promotion. He would be the 3rd Saikorian Corps Cdr after Lt Gen K Surendranath (Retd), & Lt Gen YVK Mohan. He is the 6th Lt Gen & equivalent ranked Saikorian after Lt Gen KR Rao (Retd), Lt Gen K Surendranath (Retd), Lt Gen K G Krishna, Vice Admiral MS Pawar & Lt Gen YVK Mohan.
4. He is happily married to Lakshmi. His son, Mr Sridhar is pursuing his MS in USA and his daughter, Ms Sravanthi is working in Software Industry in Bangalore. Incidentally Ms Sravanthi is a talented and popular singer and mimic. Several of her Videos are in U Tube.
