With great joy and pleasure we would like to announce the DOSA/CHAAT Party on the occasion of Gita Jayanti celebration in Pittsburgh on Saturday, Dec 17th 2011.
Here will be your opportunity to taste delicious foods(Prasadam) which will be offered to the Lord. The goal of the event is to witness and practically experience the teachings of Gita in our lives. Lord Krishna says in the Gita, then when one offers food to me with love and devotion, I shall accept it and it becomes divine food.
The food stuffs at the party with be offered to the lord and we all will have the opportunity to partake of this Divine food, mercy of the lord.
Event Schedule:
5.00pm: Recitation of Key Gita Slokas/Reading
5.30pm: Presentation on Summary Bhagavad-Gita
5.45pm: Short Skit/Drama on Gita
6.00pm: Aarti/kirtans
6.30pm: ENJOY the UNLIMITED Chaat/Dosa
For this event, we are planning to keep a little fees. ANYONE WHO JOINS WILL RECEIVE A FREE COPY OF BHAGAVAD-GITA AS IT IS.
Fees are as follows:
Registration(through the website-until Friday): $9 (one Adult), $13: Family of two, $18: Family with two kids. Children under 5: Free
Registration at door: $11(one Adult), $16: Family of two, $21:Family with two kids. Children under 5: Free.
The proceeds from the event will go to cover the cost of food and the Gita.
