Inthis tutorial, I will guide you through the detailed and simple process of installing Exodus Redux and Exodus v8 Kodi Addons. This addon works only on Kodi 18 and lower versions. It is not available on Kodi 19 and higher. The methods outlined here work on Amazon FireStick / Fire TV/ Fire TV Cube, New FireStick 4K, New FireStick 4K Max, Android & iOS Mobile Devices, Windows & Mac Computers, Android TV & Boxes, and all other hardware and software platforms on which Kodi is supported.

Exodus Redux is a newer Kodi addon that gives you access to many movies and shows. It looks like the very popular Exodus Kodi addon (also called V8) and even has the same logo. But after having used both, I have drawn some comparisons and believe Exodus Redux is better than the Exodus addon.

The original Kodi Exodus addon was abandoned by its developers. However, it was revived by independent developers a few months ago and has started receiving regular updates. It also features a new set of scrapers, pulling tons of quality streaming links.

Kodi Addons and builds offer unlimited streaming content, but could also get you into legal trouble if caught streaming free movies, TV shows, or sports. Currently, your IP is visible to everyone. Kodi users are strongly advised to always connect to a VPN while streaming online. A good Kodi VPN hides your identity, bypasses government surveillance, geo-blocked content, and ISP throttling (which also helps in buffer-free streaming).

Before you start streaming with Exodus Redux on Kodi, I warn you that everything you stream with Kodi will be visible to your ISP and Government. Streaming copyrighted content (free movies, TV shows, Sports) might get you into legal trouble.

Kodi users are strongly advised to connect to a VPN while streaming. I always connect ExpressVPN on all my streaming devices, and I suggest you do the same. A VPN for Kodi will bypass ISP throttling, Government Surveillance, and geo-restriction on popular Add-ons.

Step 17: Wait for the Exodus Kodi Addon to download and install from the Kodi Bae Repository. Once you get a success notification at the top right of your display, you are done with the installation process.

Now, you can explore the different sections of the Addon. As you can see in the image below, there are several folders, including Movies, TV Shows, New Movies, New Episodes, etc. You can explore and use it according to your preferences.

So, here are the methods to install Exodus Redux and the original Kodi Exodus addon. Both these add-ons work fine these days. However, Redux has become more popular, and rightly so, as it is faster and gets better streams. What are your thoughts? Let us know via the comments section below.

Hi! I'm Patrick, a seasoned IT and cybersecurity professional. As an avid streamer myself, I started FireStickTricks.com to help others access and stream good content on any platform. On this blog, I review services, write how-to articles, and cover the latest Fire Stick news and streaming trends.

After almost rage quitting my firestick altogether trying to get Kodi 19 Matrix to run (with zero results), I came across your install instructions for both Kodi 18 & Exodus Redux and it works flawlessly. I wasted 1/2 a day on matrix! Thank you so very much for helping even the most inept (me) get my firestick working the way I was used to. TY TY TY!!

Solution: We recommend using the EZ Maintenance+ addon. It will scan for and calculate the optimum settings for your device. Learn more about how to do this in our article on how to fix buffering on Fire TV.

Problem: Some addons depend on other addons to do their job. Dependency errors often occur when new addons are installed or when an existing addon is updated, and the two addons are no longer able to work together. A common dependency error for many users deals with URLResolver. The culprit is often a repository that has gone dark. Users who previously used the TVAddons Fusion repository frequently encounter this error.

Of course, you may not have the dependency that you need in any other installed repo. In that case, you will need to either find another repository that has the dependency or download the dependency and install it directly via zip file.

Buffering can also be caused by a slow internet connection. Even if you have fast internet, internet service providers often frown upon Kodi activity and throttle bandwidth accordingly. If you think this might be the case, we recommend using a VPN.

Most of the time, if Kodi hangs for a few seconds when you start it up, automatic updates or maintenance routines are the culprit. You can test this theory by disabling your chosen maintenance addon (long press, Information, then Disable) and turning off automatic updates (Settings, System, Addons, Updates). The next time you boot Kodi, the problem should be fixed. You can now enable one of these to see which is causing the problem, and adjust settings until you find one that resolves it.

Kodi was working fine on my firestick,I usually go to TV and PVR manager starting up loads channels from Clients, after around 15 minutes it gets to 100% which it always did. I would then click on TV and all the channels would list. Now I just get a blank screen. Anyone have any idea?

Thanks in anticipation

Hello,

I bought a firestick to download kodi too. I have tried to download no limits and placenta and about 3 others. Not one of them would let me put the build into kodi. I got the failed message about add-ons. I run single movie apps like Terrarium Tv on the stick. I would really like to use Kodi. HELP!!!

Hi, thank you for this forum. I have tried to load Kodi on my fire stick using various build and each and every time Kodi blinks on and off. I uninstall each time and try again or another build only to have the same result. Is it the problem the Firestick?

Please advise, thank you.

Hello. Thanks for this post. Its really good to fix many bugs but there one that I dont know what to do. I have an addon that streams fine on my laptop but the same addon stoped working at all on firestik a few days ago for some reason. I have IPVanish install as well. What could be the issue and how can I fix this. Thanks

My friend just bought an Android box with Kodi on it. It is pretty slick; bringing up all the illegal feeds for him easily. I still question how long a decent sporting event feed will stay up. Getting cut down in the middle of a game would stink.

Fire box (and really, who doesnt want a firey box to come home to?) has some nice features for not much more. Think about it.

Bug yeah, cut the cord over a year ago. $90 bucks a month back in my pocket. Only thing I missed was The People vs OJ Simpson

I've read you can side load the Xfinity app on a fire stick - if anyone has, how does it look? Is it jumpy, HD quality, somewhere in between?

$190 for pretty basic Directv and shitty CenturyLink is getting a little silly. Would like to cut the cord and switch to Comcast internet - if Xfinity app works on Amazon fire stick, it's a done deal.

Im pretty sure for the Xfinity app to work you have to have Xfinity TV service which is great I have it however you wont be saving any money as their prices are right in line with DTV. You cant view the content without their TV service and you cant view the premium channels without subscribing to them.

Yo, im about to do the Firestick thing myself, Hear you can watch all the Football games, and cable is BS. I pay $174 a month, and dont even watch it. My entire family uses Netflix or youtube, and I just watch Cable thru my tablet while Im working at home. But guess you can use the tablet now also with the firestick. Just tryin to decide what the difference between the firetvbox or the stick now

So what are the best addons?

I tried Exodus I think its broken right now

Nothing there.

Phoenix looks ok but expected more.

Was using rainierland on computer dont really see much improvemrnt over that.

I did with my Roku's I bought 3. With the Rokus they are slightly bigger then a thumb drive so you really only need as many as people will be watching tv at one time. They can be moved and set up to a new TV in a 1 minute.

Just installed Kodi on my Amazon Fire TV. Not what I expected, but it's pretty good. Exodus is definitely the one add-on you need. The TV shows are limitless and this will probably allow me to cancel my Netflix and Showtime subscriptions. The movie streams are sort of weak. A lot of them claim to stream in 1080p, but what I am seeing is nowhere near that. I've got about 35 mps down and 6mps up and still the steaming on the movies is poor. I'm going to keep searching for ways to improve the movie streaming aspect of Exodus.

I have the app on my phone. I love it. I downloaded and set it up. To avoid paying the additional money for a free app in your phone store. I have a samsung phone and television so I just mirror my phone to the TV. Awesome. Also new movies, music, etc. can be accessed.
