IT Linux & DB Administrator
(Based in HCM)
· Install, configure and maintain UNIX/LINUX systems in the
company
· Installing/managing and improving different
Unix/Linux-based services: proxy, mail, web, DNS, DHCP...
· Design/Install/Manage centralize Database system and Data
Ware House (based on SQL)
· Install/administer/manage Microsoft SQL 2005 Enterprise
server (active/passive fail-over)
· Assist and coordinate implementation of systems which will
use the connection into SQL server database
· Be able to get information/data from SQL database (data for
monitoring, reporting of business colleagues)
· Document the systems and make sure that the documents are
up-to-date
· Plan disaster recovery for the Database & Linux systems
· Troubleshoot Unix/Linux /Database systems to identify the
problems
· Research and propose new technologies that will benefit the
company
· Take part in IT projects that are relevant to UNIX/
Linux/Database
· Coordinate with other systems administrators to make sure
that the systems have maximum uptime and security.
· Proactively monitor and solve any problems with the server
and systems
ü Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science
ü Have at least 4 years working/developing on UNIX, Linux environment
ü Have at least 4 years experiences with administration on Database
(SQL, MySQL…).
ü Knowledge of HP – UX and Oracle is preferable
ü Knowledge technical, analytical and problem solving skills
ü Ability to do good project management
ü Sound report writing skills
ü Advanced English
