Position Summary
We are seeking a high-caliber Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to lead the technical execution, deployment, and optimization of robust cloud environments. Working under the guidance of principal architects, you will be responsible for building and scaling high-performance applications on AWS and Azure platforms. This role is central to our data-driven initiatives, supporting large-scale computational modeling and advanced statistical analytics.
The ideal candidate is a technical powerhouse who excels throughout the full software development life cycle (SDLC) and possesses the foresight to resolve systemic issues before they impact enterprise productivity.

Credential Requirements & Workspace Status
Work Arrangement: This position is 100% on-site in Dallas, TX, starting from the first day of employment. Full-time physical presence is required.
Mandatory Certifications: To qualify for this senior-level position, candidates must hold at least one professional-level cloud certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate/Professional or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert).

Key Responsibilities
Cloud Architecture & Deployment Engineer and deploy enterprise-grade AWS/Azure applications, specifically focusing on computationally intensive data processing and statistical modeling.
Lead the implementation of serverless architectures, microservices, and high-availability clusters.
Integrate Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) principles with modern cloud services to ensure modular and scalable systems.
SDLC & DevOps Integration Own all phases of the development lifecycle, from initial requirement gathering and capacity planning to rigorous quality assurance and testing.
Maintain and optimize CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless, automated code delivery and environment stability.
Manage containerized environments, overseeing the health and scaling of Kubernetes clusters (EKS/AKS) and Elastic Container Services (ECS).

Operational Excellence & Mentorship
Perform rapid root-cause analysis on complex cloud incidents, implementing permanent fixes and preventive documentation.
Serve as a technical subject matter expert, training internal teams on new cloud initiatives and best practices.
Ensure all deployments adhere to the Five Pillars of the Well-Architected Framework (Operational Excellence, Security, Reliability, Performance Efficiency, and Cost Optimization).

Required Qualifications
Experience: 5+ years of software development experience with a heavy focus on infrastructure as code (IaC) and cloud engineering.
Technical Stack: * Languages: Proficiency in Python, Bash, and JavaScript.
Automation: Expert-level command of Terraform and Ansible.
CI/CD: Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and automated pipelines.
Systems & Networking: * Deep expertise in Linux/Unix administration and Docker containerization.
Strong grasp of core networking protocols: TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, and HTTP.
Solid understanding of Web Services, including REST, RPC, and API management.
Data & Analytics: Prior exposure to database architecture, ETL processes, and environments supporting Machine Learning or Big Data.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Mathematics.
