'Sathya Sai with Students' blog team takes this opportunity to wish all our readers a happy summer vacation... We present articles this week on the theme of Swami's message for students during the vacation.


1. DISCOURSES TO STUDENTS: It is that time of the year when students leave Swami's educational institutions for the summer vacations. Some would return in June to continue with their education; some others would join other institutions to move on to the next stage of their life. Swami would always use this opportunity at the end of the academic year to give them a few lessons for life which they could contemplate on and practice. We reminisce the Discourse Swami gave to the students in Trayee Brindavan in March 1992 on one such occasion.

2. EXPERIENCES OF STUDENTS: Sri Karthik Shenoi writes on the theme: "To Kodaikanal... With Sri Sathya Sai..."

3. CONVERSATIONS WITH STUDENTS: On February 15, 2004, in a conversation with students of the second year postgraduate classes after their gratitude programme in the Mandir, Swami gave them His special message as they were leaving the portals of His Institute to discharge their responsibilities in the world. He assured them: "... Swami will certainly manifest in front of you."

4. MANAGEMENT LESSONS: In a Discourse to His Management students, Swami provides a 'Three Business Approaches for a Values-Based Managers'. We present these in a two-part series.

5. THIS DAY THAT AGE: It was in this week in 1945 when Baba appeared in Bangkok in the thick of World War II. Read on for a fascinating account of the experience.

6. SONG FOR THE SOUL: As students of His educational institutions leave their Alma Mater, they leave with a promise that they would transform the world through the power of His Love. A song dedicated to this sentiment is presented this week. This was composed by students and sung before Bhagavan on many occasions: 'O Ho Tere Hi Pyaar Se Is Jahan Ko Badal Payenge'

 Special Announcement!

Dear brothers and sisters of the Sai family, a very historic event is going to take place during Aradhana Mahotsavam this year. Exponents in Carnatic music, inspired by the Pancharatna Kritis of Tyagaraja and moved by their love for Bhagawan, are composing special Pancharatna Kritis on Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.

Two of those Kritis will be offered at the Divine Lotus Feet, by these eminent musicians on the morning of the Aradhana Mahotsavam i.e. 24th April 2014. Saint Tyagaraja immortalized his love for his Lord and his Lord's love for him in his Kritis. It is but befitting that we do the same for the Lord come down as Sai Rama in this Kali Yuga.

So make sure you are in Prasanthi Nilayam during this momentous occasion to witness this historical event and for listening those soulful Pancharatna Kritis. The next best thing you can do is, tune in to the Live Broadcast of the event direct from Sai Kulwant Hall on our website, www.radiosai.org on 24 April 2014 morning.

The three cotton seeds and Bhaja Govindam - a short story

Cutting a long 'story short' 

Theoretically we all know it and yet, practically, we forget it. Here is a little story of three cotton seeds, Andi, Bambi and Candi, that will help us remember what our desire and goal in life must be. The three of them have had different life experiences but all those lead to the same conclusion. 

A perfect read for Bal Vikas children... and of course to SSSE teachers too for they are always interacting with the children. But then, when it comes to Swami's messages, aren't we all children at His feet forever?
