Sairam Dear Sisters and Brothers,

The Environment Ministry of India has given indiscriminate sanctions to various State Governments to cull innumerable species of wild animals declaring them as ‘nuisance’ due to man-animal conflict.
The animals and birds include our National Bird – Peacock in Goa, Nilgai or Blue Bull and Wild Boars in Bihar, Monkeys in Himachal Pradesh and Elephants in West Bengal.
This authorization seems totally injudicious and inconsiderate. Human Beings are not the only ones that inhabit any Nation, the wondrous flora and innumerable species from the winged, finned and aquatic spheres too are natural citizens of any country. These species are the pride of the nation and deserve our respect.
We need to brainstorm a harmonious solution for a peaceful co-existence.
What about Vasudaiva Kutumbakam and Ishwara Sarvabhutanam?

Care for Life, Concern for Nature and Respect for all Life Forms, all of Creation should be the foundation of human philosophy.
