SCHS - Filing of income tax returns for A.Y. 2020~21 (F.Y. – 2019 ~ 20) and extension of last due date of payment of maintenance bill for 2020 ~ 21 up to 31st May 2021.

Dear All,

 

We are pleased to inform you all that we have filed income tax returns for A.Y. 2020~21 (F.Y. – 2019 ~ 20). Attached please find income tax returns filed receipt for your perusal and society’s records. Please note that due to the prevailing COVID 19 situation in India, I.T. department has extended filing of income tax returns for A.Y. 2020~21 (F.Y. – 2019 ~ 20) up to 31st May 2021.

 

Furthermore, we are very pleased to inform you that we were able to bring down (reduce) TOTAL OUTSTANDING DUES FROM OUR ESTEEMED SOCIETY MEMBERS TO Rs. 1893041/- (AS UPDATED 25^TH MAY 2021) FROM TOTAL OUTSTANDING DUES OF Rs. 4825736/- (AS UPDATED 1^ST APRIL 2020), in the months of Mar ~ May 2021. Please note that about 85% members (37 members) have cleared their all the outstanding dues to the society and hope other members with outstanding dues remaining with them to the society to follow them to clear their pending dues.

 

In view of positive response received from the society members, paying their long pending (outstanding) dues and so also due to prevailing COVID 19 situation in Mumbai and around, kindly note that we are now extending the last date of payment (due) date to 31^st May, as requested / suggested by some MC members.

We shall sincerely request members with the outstanding dues to make only on-line payment to the society, as we are trying our best to avoid going to the bank for cheque deposits.

Please note that the penal interest calculation on the opening outstanding balance amount was last done (considered) up to 1st April 2020 only. Now with the above extension, the opening outstanding balance amount on 1st June 2021, shall attract penal interest (simple) of 18%, as applicable presently by our CHS bye-laws.

It has really been commendable job done by present society committee member. It wold have not been possible without heir hard work where they not only completed job of their tenure but also completed all pending job left unattended by last committee member. There are plenty of excuses if some body does not want to do work, this we can learn from present committee member's effort.
