Dear all,

Would like to inform everyone that today morning the management of Skyline Mansion has informed that the venue would not be let out for our event due to security concerns. We have looked at other options today and by tomorrow we would be able to finalize and inform everyone.

Please look for email regarding the new venue.

By the way, please note that the time for everyone to be present at the venue is 8:15 AM and not 8:15 PM as stated in earlier mail.

Dear all,

Thanks for making all the practice sessions wonderful!

Here are some of the important points to be noted for the Shanghai Utsavam on 24th April 2010.

1. Enclosed please find the flyer with details that was routed through Indian Assoication ( I understand that some of you have not received).

2. All of us need to be present at the venue by 8:15 pm. We would be starting the event with the children's performances. A detailed brochure would be available at the venue.

3. Breakfast will be served for all the participants. The cost for the breakfast would be from the volunteer funds raised for covering other expenses (including sound system,decor,brochures etc). Those of you who are not aware or did not have the opportunity of volunteering an amount of 200 RMB per family and who would still like to offer may pass on the same either to Bhuvana (Pudong) or myself (Puxi). As most of you are aware, the venue cost is being sponsored by Indian Association.

4. Lunch coupons will be available for purchase at the venue.

5. Because of the expo, the management of the venue had requested for all the details of the participant/families to get the consent of the govt. Thanks for understanding and providing the details at a very short notice. Meera and Ananth had a meeting with them yesterday and they had a given a green signal for the event. Special thanks to them. However since the total number of participant/families is approx 120 including children, there is a concern that if the attendees exceed 150, there could be security issues for the management of the venue. They would have to provide additional guards and car parking is another concern that they have expressed. So,let us not invite more guests at this point. Also we can request the drivers to drop off and move instead of hanging around.It was also requested to keep the level of noise so as not to disturb the residents. Please take care of the children.

6. Please remember to bring the lyrics and USBs (Powerpoint participants)
