Dear Colleagues

SAHRIT is engaged in a two year project on increasing demand for
accountability and respect for human rights through utilization of
enforcement mechanisms, which project covers six countries in the
sub-region, being Swaziland, Lesotho, Zambia, Tanzania, Malawi and
Zimbabwe. As part of this project SAHRIT is commissioning an audit of
the human rights framework in these countries, including generally an
audit of the legislative, policy and administrative framework. Further
SAHRIT is commissioning an audit of the work of NGOs in these countries
as this work relates to the monitoring and enforcement of human rights.
The audits will give a broad picture of the human rights situation in
the countries, detailing human rights protection under the
Constitution, legislation, policy and administrative action. In
particular emphasis should be on how the national constitution,
legislation policy and administrative action infringe internationally
protected human rights. The audits should give specific examples and
case studies that demonstrate the human rights situation in the
country.

SAHRIT is therefore calling for bids to conduct country audits on the
following countries: Swaziland, Lesotho, Zambia, Tanzania, Malawi and
Zimbabwe (IMPORTANT::: terms of reference for each country are found on
our website www.sahrit.org ). Interested candidates should send CVs and
projected budgets for the work to the following email addresses:
sols...@sahrit.org.zw; chim...@sahrit.org.zw; sah...@sahrit.org.zw;
noelk...@sahrit.org.zw; chiw...@sahrit.org.zw.
