Hi All!

For those celebrating Diwali and New Year --- Best Wishes...

As most of you know, I am an Heme/Onc Fellow and in the past couple of months, one observation about the South Asian community --

One of my attending commented -  We have what he feels like a disproportionate number of Young Indian(descent) patients with Hodgkins Disease needing for Bone Marrow Transplant.

It raises a few issues:
1.  What is true or really a disporportionate due to the location (we are in New Brunswick, NJ)?  compared to other populations?
2.  I know some of you are interested in Bone Marrow Donor Program  and have worked on these drives --- how can we combine the efforts (research and increased participation)?

Unfortunately I haven't had a chance to go through some of the stuff that I have wanted to, but I still want to work with those who are interested in doing a longitudinal cohort study.

Biren
