Chiwan Choi’s work is a masterly trek through hard, dark, but vital terrain. The world seems uncertain, chaotic, with great losses. But Chiwan knows this is the necessary territory for his words, his images, his stories, the pathos and redemption. When we feel helpless in the face of great tragedies and traumas, we have to turn inward to our gifts, our fears, our hopes, and make poems.
