Did you know that in 1967 Japanese students protested the U.S. war against Vietnam and successfully prevented the Japanese Prime Minister from visiting Vietnam?
Come this Thursday to learn more about social justice movements in Japan and the Japanese diaspora. Tadaima is holding a study session where we will create a timeline of social justice and general history of Japan and the Japanese diaspora. We will have resources available on Thurs. such as books, laptops and our own knowledge.
Snacks will be provided. This study session is open to all Japanese and Japanese American folks. Individuals of mixed heritage are encouraged and welcome in Tadaima.
This timeline will be the centerpiece of a future session when we will include our family histories on the timeline.
Please spread the word about this event and our fledgling group!
