ఇంగ్లీషు పదాలకి - తెలుగర్ధం ఏమిటి?

మిత్రులందరికీ,
కొన్ని ఇంగ్లీషు పదాలకి తెలుగు అర్ధం ఏమిటో చెప్పగలరా?
కేన్సెప్ట్ అనే ఇంగ్లీషు పదం ఉందనుకోండి - అంతే తేలికగా అర్ధం అయ్యే
తెలుగు పదం ఏమిటి?
కింది పదాలకి, తెలుగులో అర్ధం చెప్పండి - ఒక పదం కాకుండా, ఒక సమాసమైనా
పరవాలేదు:

Structure, Metaphor, Allegory, Consciousness, Sub-Conscious, inner
dimension, momentum, process, interplay.

i have a related question as well. Suppose you are writing an essay/
article in telugu. You have a choice between using a word in english
(which is easily understood by the current culture), or use a more
arcane telugu word - which may not be understood easily by everyone.
What should we do in such cases?

And, what do you for concepts which probably have no equivalent in
telugu, for example - Structure is not just a word in english, but it
is a concept. We talk about structure of a poem, of a building, of a
text, and we can say structure of consciousness. what is the
equivalent concept in telugu?

my question therefore is not only about the equivalent dictionary
words in telugu, but equivalent concepts in telugu? how do you
translate a concept? example: take the word - blog. Blog is a concept
- which has no equivalent in telugu (because, our culture did not
produce that concept), so currently we use the same word as is -
meaning we imported the word into telugu.

చైతన్య స్రంవతి అంటే stream of consciousness అండీ. Sub conscious ను అంతశ్చేతన అనొచ్చేమో?

నేనైతే తెలుగుపదం రాసి బ్రాకెట్లో ఇంగ్లిష్ పదం రాస్తాను. ఉదా: అప్పు బిళ్ళ(credit card) :)

సరళమైన తెలుగు పదమేదైనా సరిపోతుందేమో చూస్తాను. తట్టకపోతే యథాతథంగా రాస్తాను.

అంతరాత్మ, ఆత్మ సాక్షి ఇవి కింది పదాల్లో వేటికైనా సరిపొతాయేమో.

 

Metaphor, Allegory ఇటువంటి పదాలు ఇంగ్లీష్ లో ఐతేనే అందం, భావం కోల్పోకుండా ఉంటాయనిపిస్తుంది.

 

త్రివిక్రం గారు చెప్పినట్టు రెండు పక్క పక్కనే చెప్పొచ్చు కాని బాగా వాడుక లో ఉన్న ఇంగ్లిష్ పదం ముందు,  అంతగా తెలీని/మనం ఊహించిన తెలుగు పదాన్ని ( ) లో.

hmm...i think this has been a problem for whoever wanted to write
about non-native concepts in telugu...in srisri's time they were
caught with this 'surrealism'....they used the same word in telugu
without translation.

as per the choice of words(english/telugu), i think its better to go
with the word which you think best expresses the idea you wanted to
convey. its preferable to use the telugu word when available...if u
think its a little difficult one to understand you can give the
meaning in foot notes or brackets. and next time you use it, readers
would already know. this way you will be helping yourself in widening
your choice of words.

saripOtundi. daani pEru rUpaka alamkaaram anukuMTaa...okka saari
maLLee chUDaali.

allegory annadi upamaalamkaaraniki utprekshaalamkaaraaniki madhyalO
