Location: Boston, MA (Need Locals Face to face required)
Duration: 6+ Months Contract
Job Description:
The position requires 5 year experience in the software industry; advanced knowledge of SQL Server; excellent SQL coding proficiency to include DDL, DML, stored procedures, and triggers; experience in data modeling and physical database design; working knowledge of at least one major programming language (C++, Java, C#).
The position requires a good knowledge of software development life cycle models and methodologies and 3+ years of experience developing software in a process driven environment.
The successful candidate will have the ability to integrate in the team workflow; balance concurrent tasks and handle well evolving requirements as driven by the exploratory mindset of a research environment; provide accurate effort estimates and deliver assignments according to schedule and specifications; will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and will participate productively in design and code reviews.
Work experience in a scientific or technical environment desired; experience in a bioinformatics related field a great plus.
