Dear All,
National Disaster Management Authority is organizing a consultation this Saturday as part of developing a strategy (yes they are still at the stage!) for rehab especially in education. I was asked to suggest names from Karachi and I have shared your/institutions names with them. Even if they act lazy and fail to send you invites, I urge you to gate crash and be there to get your voices, suggestions and experiences heard. Whatever the final form or outcome of this consultation or eventual fate of strategy, we must ensure that NDMA doesn’t create a lopsided, ill informed document.
I am forwarding you the invitation letter that I got, hope some of you will be able to make time for it.
Warm regards,
Amima Sayeed
