The session will feature a talk by Mr. Tasneem Ahmed Siddiqui, an ex-bureaucrat, well-known for his work on pro-poor housing. Mr. Siddiqui has worn many hats, among them that of the deputy commissioner of Sukkur, chief secretary in the Sindh government, director general of the Sindh Katchi Abadi Association, Head of Saiban (an NGO working to provide low-cost housing option for lower strata). He will highlight specifc aspects of his earlier (Khuda ki Basti) and recent (Saiban) works generally educating us about the modes and modalities of effectively working with the public and private sectors and the communities for passing on the benefits to the marginalized segments of society. The session will be held in Karachi at ‘The 2nd Floor’ (map enclosed) on March 9, 2011 from 3 – 5:30 pm.    Participation is by direct invite only and prior confirmation via email/phone is requested.   Looking forward to welcome you.
