Hello,
I am Ratnadeep Debnath ( User name : rtnpro) from Dr. B. C. Roy
Engineering College, Durgapur. I am an active volunteer in DGPLUG,
Linux Users' Group of Durgapur. I am also a member of the Fedora
Ambassadors Team. I am contributing in the ongoing Bijra High School
Project as an instructor and a translator. We create modules to be
taught out there in English, and then I and my friend Meejanur
translate those in Bengali. My mother tongue is Bengali and I come
from Guwahati, Assam and have knowledge of Assamese language too. I
want to contribute in the localization related to the Sahana Project.

Thank you
Regards

Hello Ratnadeep,

welcome to the Sahana L10N group!

Translation coordinator for the Indian languages is Ajay Kumar, he
will guide you through and give you appropriate permissions at the
Pootle site as necessary.

I will set up Assamese as soon as possible.
Would be a nice contribution if you could post some information about
Bengali and Assamese, the regions where these languages are common and
how the people there use these languages in computers - all in view of
Sahana localization, of course.

Thanks!
Dominic

Hello Ratnadeep,
Thanks for joining the Sahana l10n efforts :) Added you to Bengali and
Assamese with permissions to directly submit changes aka maintainer
role of the languages.

For Bengali, we do have others working on it, so you might want to co-
ordinate with them via this mailing list.
For Assamese, since you are the only contributor right now, you have
the choice to work on it any way you like, Online via the Pootle site
or Offline using your own favourite tool.

In case you choose to do it offline, please download the PO files and
when done, email it to this list so that it can be merged to the site.

Once again welcome :) and thanks for contributing to Sahana :)

Good Luck!!
