Hey, everyone.  For all the new people to the group, I'm Jonathan, and I organize South Austin Game Night.  I also run Board Game Bash, a convention just for board gaming held right here in beautiful Austin, Texas.

Board Game Bash is next weekend, August 1-3, and it's shaping up to be a ton of fun once again.  I wanted to send out a reminder that today (Sunday) is the last day to pre-register for the convention.  Pre-registered attendees will save $10 versus paying at the door, get a custom made name badge, and early signup for events.  The convention will be at the Hilton Garden Inn Downtown, just off I-35S between 5th and 6th Streets.

The convention will open at 5 PM on Friday, and go through the night both nights before closing at 8 PM on Sunday.  In addition to the game library and large open gaming space, we'll also be having the following events:
--Android: Netrunner tournament
--Life-sized Robo Rally LIVE! with real people as the robots
--Fritters' Favorites Multi-Game Tournament
--Dominion Tournament, featuring the mysterious OMNIDRAFT system
--Smash Up Tournament
--Munchkin Tournament
--The Puzzle Hunt
--Beta Test of Chepass Games' new game: Stuff and Nonsense
--Playtesting Session for Designers and Players
--Wings of Glory Multiplayer Demos
--Werewolves of the Dark Arts

For the first time, we'll also have a dedicated vendor room featuring:
--Childs' Play: Games and Geekery
--Outlaw Moon Games and Toys
--Arcane Wonders
--Steve Jackson Games
--Regular People Gaming

So don't wait until tomorrow, because tomorrow's too late!  Sign up now to come out!

Hope to see you all there!

Jonathan

PS: Wondering about the MYSTERY GRAB BAGS?  Pre-registrations were higher than ever, so the standard allotment of 200 grab bags was met earlier this month.  I did buy extra materials to make some reserve grab bags, but I won't know exactly how many until bag assembly is complete.  So people registering at this point may still get a bag, but it isn't guaranteed.  Bags are allocated on a first-registered, first-bagged, basis, so up your chances to get one by signing up sooner than later.
