Dear All,

we are happy to announce the first success in building a re-factored
Singular (aka Spielwiese Singular) on top of libpolys: it builds and
is surprisingly usable - although still full of bugs.

Unfortunately, in the course of this re-factoring we had to leave out
some features.

Of course, in order for the new Singular to supersede the old one
(which is the next goal in the restructuring), we should make sure
that it still has all the features and the performance has not
dropped (too) much.

Luckily enough we can now test it against the (Tst/) test-suite in the
quest for broken or missing stuff.

This is where we need any helping hand: please try to build the new
Singular and test it as much as you can in order to find and localize
defects in the new Singular.

As the very first step: it would be really nice to fix at least the
most basic features before the (soon) coming coding sprint
(http://wiki.sagemath.org/days34).

Further detailed instructions can be found at

Any help/feedback is welcome!

Have a lot of fun!

Cheers,
Singular Refactoring Team
