Singular's GCD totally sucks. Basically all open source GCD
implementations suck, last I checked.
> At the moment, the example is still in the form of fractions, but although I can't imagine the problem lying with additions and multiplications (rather than the GCD computations), I'll break it down to that level over lunch. I am not quite sure whether I'll be able to resolve this ticket soon, though.

> Regarding SAGE Days 19, I've got two questions. Since I am only leaving on Friday, 22 January, I am wondering whether you might perhaps have any suggestions for where I could book accommodation for the remaining two days?
This place is affordable and very nicely located:

> Secondly, I am wondering whether people attending make any plans for what they intend to work on in advance?
Yes, definitely. I hope everybody will have a list of about 20 bugs
they want to attack at the workshop before the workshop starts.
People can typically fix about 10-25 _interesting_ bugs during 5 days
of hard work.
> If that's the case, since the next two weeks will still be part of the undergraduate Christmas holidays, I should have some spare time to at least look at a couple of things.
