I think that's the plan ... it seems like the most reasonable in terms
of not waking up at 8AM, and getting to the island while places are
still open for dinner.

Good point -- in fact, I should probably give some brief directions,
too. It's only one turn, so it won't be too hard. :)
Once you come off the ferry, you'll be on Ferry Road. Follow it down
to Military Rd and make a right (Ferry will dead-end into Military).
There should be a barn with a yellow bike on it at the intersection.
It will turn into Lopez Rd, which you can follow right into Lopez
Village. There will also be signs posted directing you to the Village
-- or, honestly, you could even stop someone and ask. Everyone's real
friendly.
Don't forget to wave to the other cars and bikers!
Amusingly, I don't actually have an address for any of the places
we're staying. It's not so bad, since Lopez Village isn't as large as
your average city block.
As you come into the village, you'll see Isabel's Espresso and the
Lopez Village Market on your left. Lopez Lodge is on the right, in the
building perpendicular to Holly B's Bakery, just above the Lopez
Thrift Shop. It's actually on Weeks Point Way, but you can see it from
Lopez Rd.
The other two places are up ahead, just past the empty field next to
Holly B's. (There's probably still a giant painting in the field that
they cover over and paint anew every week.) Lopez Village Manor is the
big green house on the left after the Edenwild Inn. The condo is on
the right, directly across from Edenwild. It's condo #2.
Both the Manor and the condo will just be unlocked -- walk right in,
there should be a set of keys and info sitting on the table. I suspect
it will be the same with Lopez Lodge, but I can't say for sure. (They
didn't give me any special check-in info, so who knows.) I wouldn't be
surprised if the Lopez Lodge folks were waiting to meet us -- they
were just fascinated that people had *math* conferences when I made
the reservation.
Also, one person (Kevin) is headed to the Islander -- this one
requires another turn. :) You follow Lopez Rd right out of the
village, and make a right on Fisherman's Bay Rd. The Islander is just
ahead on the right. The Islander is more like a normal hotel, so
you'll check in at the front desk, I think.
E-mail me again if there's anything I'm forgetting about ...
