Accomodation

Could someone please say a word about the hotel bookings in Seattle? The
wiki page seems less than 100% clear about this: should participants
(e.g., myself) contact a hotel directly or will this be done by the
organizers?

Either way would be fine with me, of course. I just wouldn't like to
start hunting for a hotel room on May 13 after a 10 hour flight from
Frankfurt ;-)

Could you remind me what your exact dates are again? I think they are
fairly long, so it would be best for you to reserve a hotel room. One
simple and very conveniently located place is the College Inn:

Thanks for the info. I'll be in town from the 13th to the 22nd.
Unfortunately, the "collegeinnseattle" is already fully booked (I just
tried the "reserve" button on their web page, with varying dates.) Do
you have another suggestion?

Never mind, I just booked a room in the Moore hotel, as suggested by
Google. This seems to be conveniently close to both the university and
the lake/sea/river (or whatever that blue stuff on the map actually is).

The total price is 531,00 dollars plus 15.7 percent tax. This is for 9
nights in case you have to rescale this to the 6 conference days.
