Yikes! See the very first thing at http://windows.sagemath.org/:
"Note: this project is currently not active. We are instead finishing
our Cygwin port of Sage."

Maybe someone with access to that should also put that on the download
page.

To John M: Sorry for the confusion! There are a couple things you may
want to look at first.

* A virtual machine - see http://modular.math.jmu.edu/win/index.html
* A LiveCD, including a beta version with installer - see
http://modular.math.jmu.edu/livecd/index.html
* Ongoing work on a Cygwin port. This would be nice too, but
progress is slow because it's hard to debug. See
http://trac.sagemath.org/sage_trac/wiki/CygwinPort, among other
places.

We'd welcome help with these or feedback. Enjoy!

Done. I changed some files in the directory "other/windows" in the
sagemath account on boxen.
