Hi Sage Developers,

If you're an undergraduate, you might be interested that I'll be
running a small REU this summer on Sage-related web programming. See
the description below [3]. To apply, fill out the form at [1], which
is for [2], but be very clear in your application to indicate that
you're interested in "Stein's part of the REU". You will not be
expected to participate in the Inverse Problems REU, though you'll
have the opportunity to participate, especially in their many cool
social events.

[3] Professor William Stein (who runs the Sage Mathematical Software
project -- http://sagemath.org) is also interested in supporting a
handful of students to work during the REU fulltime on cutting edge
web application design and development that is relevant to
mathematics, including interactive mathematical graphics editors, a
matrix editor, mathematical typesetting, 3d graphics, a web-based
spreadsheet for research level mathematics, etc. Some work will be
motivated by the interests and needs of students in Morrow's REU (and
at other REU's across the country). If you would like to instead
apply to work with Stein, fill out the same application, but address
your web-related development experience (in addition to mathematical
interests) in your application.
