Hello,

I have downloaded sage-9.1-OSX_10.11.6-x86_64.app.dmg on my mac desktop and then run it. Then I copied the resulting file (or directory ) whose name is
Sage-Math 9.1  to Applications directory. However when I double click on it the mouse sign turns to a rotating colored cycle for a while  and then nothing happenS. In my first trial I got an error message saying that mac does not recognize the publisher of the program. So I right clicked and choose open from the list. But it did not solve the problem. The program did not open even worse it somehow damaged the running procedure of computer. For example I could not shut down the system properly. Is there a way to fix this problem?

Best Wishes,

Haydar

Once you did the 1st run of sage, you cannot move the resulting tree. If you want to have sage in Applications/, copy the installer there first.

As a side note, you may wish to try the binary for Catalina, 10.15 is in the name.  This one is really for people with older Macs.
