When running sage in terminal:

sage: %magma
--> Switching to Magma <--
magma: GetVersion();
2 22 7

Then I have no idea how to exit magma mode, nothing I try works,
and I cannot get back to sage. Help?

Suggestion (I don't have Magma and can't try) : hit Ctrl-D (proabbly Command-d on a Mac), thus signalling an end of file to Magma. Or try the Magma command yyou type to end a terminal session.

FWIW, CMD-D on the Mac generally will do something like "duplicate".

For Terminal (and many components with a "text edit"-like interface), ^D will signal end-of-file.

Not sure what the appropriate thing is for any of the notebook interfaces for Sage.
