The "master" git branch has been updated to Sage-7.5. As always, you can get the latest beta version from the "develop" git branch. Alternatively, the self-contained source tarball is at http://www.sagemath.org/download-latest.html

There was no change after 7.5.rc3

Binaries don't build due to a Singular problem, see https://trac.sagemath.org/ticket/22175

On macOS 10.11.6 (Quad-core Core i7), built from tarball without problems. All tests ('ptestlong') passed!

Thanks.

On a pristine Debian (testing) VM, with system's current gcc, g++,  gfortran and openssl (default on Debian) + development libs (libssl-dev on Debian):
  • fails to build git (see Trac#22058) ;
  • after installation of system's git, passes ptestlong with no errors ;
  • after patching with Trac#22058 and removal of system's git and its depedencies, ( make distclean && make ptestlong ) passes with no errors.
HTH,
