How about the Singular upgrade (#10903 and its dependency #11339)?
The linker error on Ubuntu 11.10 is also fixed in the new upstream
release, so if you don't want to merge that one into 4.7.2, we'd need an
alternate Singular 3-1-1-4.p14 which just fixes the linker error, i.e.
"reopen" #11769.
There are also some tickets fixing problems on MacOS X 10.7 (Lion) (cf.
the meta-ticket #11881), one of it (#11882) upgrading readline to 6.2,
which *presumably* also fixes an issue with R and readline on Ubuntu 11.10.

None of these tickets has a positive review yet, so I have to wait for
that anyway. So if sage-4.7.2 won't work on Lion anyway, maybe it is
better to merge the tickets all together in sage-4.7.3.*.
Jeroen.
Just for the record. I have already mentioned it to leif on irc, in 4.7.2
sage-on-gentoo will use pari-2.5 whether it is merged or not.
There are always a few differences here and there but that one will be
more noticeable.
