No problems for me with ubuntu and 4.1.2.rc0, though on the 64-bit
machine it says

sage: L.L1_vanishes()
sh: kpsewhich: not found
sh: kpsewhich: not found
False

What are those kpsewhich things?

John

Sage doesn't work on OS X 10.6 yet.  Many things do work, but also several dozen commands will just crash with "Abort trap".  So far nobody has a clue how to fix this problem and it is one of the things holding up the next Sage release.

See http://trac.sagemath.org/sage_trac/ticket/7095
