GSoC 2026: Interest in q- and qt-Characters project

Hello everyone, my name is Aditya Kapoor and I'm a Computer Engineering/Mathematics double major. I am interested in the "Implement q- and qt-Characters" project for GSoC 2026.

I have coursework in Combinatorics and am currently reading Fang's expository notes on the FM algo; I'll be submitting a proposal focused on implementing the FM algorithm, Nakajima's t-deformation, and a character ring for SageMath.

Travis, if you have any guidance on scope or priorities for this project I'd appreciate it.
