GSoC 2026 Interest — KLR Algebras and Their Representations

Hi Travis,

My name is Praful V Raj, and I'm interested in applying for the GSoC 2025 project on implementing KLR algebras and their representations in SageMath, with you as mentor.

I have been contributing to SageMath recently and currently have the following open pull requests:

• #41786 — Fix: TypeError in IntegralAffineCurve.function_field() for non-default variable names (needs review)
• #41753 — Fix: Add type annotations to sage/misc/{call,banner,benchmark,converting_dict}.py (needs review)
• #41735 — Feature: Adding longest_path() method for DAGs (positive review)

I have a background in algebra and representation theory and am eager to work on this project. I would love to discuss the scope and your expectations before I put together a formal proposal.
