Hello Mentors,
My name is Ankur Rai, and I am a second-year (about to complete) undergraduate student at the Indian Institute of Technology, Indore.
(This doesn't serve to be a formal introduction, as I feel that would be nothing more than standard jargon until I complete the tentative GSoC-students checklist.) I have installed sage locally and followed the SageMath Tutorial! After getting confident enough to work on some beginner tickets, I was setting up Trac.

From what I read on The Sage Trac Server — Sage Developer's Guide v9.2 (sagemath.org), I just logged in from my GitHub account and haven't requested any Trac credentials.
After saving my SSH public key to my account, on testing whether I am being authenticated properly or not,

g...@trac.sagemath.org: Permission denied (publickey).

I am not really sure about this, and for now, I will be sending a request for Trac credentials. How long will it take approximately for my request to be considered?
Kindly let me know if I am mistaken.
Thanks and Regards,
Ankur Rai

Hello Mentors,
As I strongly feel and also the developer and collaboration guides have emphasized everywhere that having a Trac account is a must for contributing to Sage, I urgently request mentors to look after my concern. Even for using the git "the hard way" it is a must to get authentication done. On Git the Hard Way — Sage Developer's Guide v9.2 (sagemath.org)-
"We set up the remote here to perform read-only operations (fetch) using the git protocol and write operations (push) using the ssh protocol (specified by the git@ part). To use the ssh protocol you need to have a trac account and to set up your ssh public key as described in Trac authentication through ssh. Authentication is necessary if you want to upload anything to ensure that it really is from you."
I have already sent a mail on sage-tra...@googlegroups.com, requesting credentials.
Hoping for a quick response and pardon for any misconduct.

Ankur Rai,

Please take note at the top of the page you linked from the Sage developers guide:

New: Previously, it was necessary to manually request a Trac account in order to post anything to Sage’s Trac. Now, if you have a GitHub account, you may log in using it to create and comment on tickets, and edit wiki pages on Sage’s Trac.

You can use your Github account to log in to trac. Your permission error is not related to having a trac account or not.
