Hello!
I am a prospective GSoC 2020 applicant for Sage Math. I was involved in a GSoC project in the BoostC++ organization last year and was hoping to get involved in another community this year through GSoC.
I am interested in the project "Diameter, radius, eccentricities, and distances". I have done a course on Data Structures and Algorithms apart from doing GSoC last year. I have a lot of C++ experience due to GSoC last year and
I am also familiar with Python due to several course assignments that require Python codes. I am a third-year undergraduate at the Mathematics and Scientific Computing Department of IIT Kanpur and thus believe that
Sage Math would be a perfect fit for me.

I have set up sage on my local machine and sent PRs on two tickets #27636 and #28882 which are pending review. I am also currently going through the reference papers for the project. Is there anything else to be done
while we wait for the application period to begin, apart from sending more PRs?

Getting familiar with the development process of Sagemath and with the scientific results related to the project is what should be done before the application period.
