Hello SageMath community,
I am Raymond Thomas Roshy, a 3rd-year undergraduate student at BITS Pilani, Goa Campus, pursuing a dual degree in Computer Science and Mathematics. I am writing to express my strong interest in contributing to SageMath for GSoC 2026.
My academic background is deeply aligned with SageMath’s core modules. I have a strong interest in Topology (Class Topper) and Graph Theory, along with a solid foundation in Logic and Measure Theory. Additionally, I have completed coursework in Numerical Analysis and Operations Research (OR). Beyond the classroom, I have conducted research under various professors, which has refined my ability to translate complex mathematical frameworks into practical, computational models.
On the technical side, I am proficient in C++ and have a working knowledge of Python and Object-Oriented Programming.
I am particularly interested in working on the sage.graphs or sage.topology modules. Furthermore, given my background in Numerical Analysis and OR, I am eager to explore if there are specific algorithms within these domains—such as specialized LP solvers, interior point methods, or advanced spline interpolation techniques—that are currently missing or need optimization in Sage.
Could anyone point me toward some "good first issues" or ongoing discussions related to Graphs, Topology, or Numerical/OR modules that would be suitable for a newcomer with my profile?
