Hi.

I'm wondering if anybody has any experience with Single system images
and sagemath. I'm particularly interested in the http://www.mosix.org/
performance since they claim to have a production system on their
campus for years.

Sincerely,
jernej

Maybe additional clarification is needed:
From wiki: In distributed computing, a single system image (SSI)
cluster is a cluster of machines that appears to be one single system.
And from Mosix's wiki; In a MOSIX cluster/grid there is no need to
modify or to link applications with any library, to copy files or
login to remote nodes, or even to assign processes to different nodes
– it is all done automatically, like in an SMP.

Hello, Jernej
Mosix is a known system but in our supercomputing centre is not used. We use our own compilation of Fedora and ScientificLinux is used in Grid.

Serge
