About Logo

Hi all,

I like SAGE and I am eager to learn more about it. But one thing I
don't like about it is the logo, the one that you see right in the
first page of the SAGE site. I think it is illegible and ugly. If
there are more people beside me who like SAGE but not the logo, I want
someone to design a better logo for SAGE. Thank you all the SAGE
developers!

What sort of Logo would you prefer? What are your favorite software
logos? Do you have any graphic design skills?

I want the logo at least to be legible at first sight. I had no
objections to the logos of other softwares. Others may like the
present logo of SAGE. If a new logo is really required, why don't you
hold a contest for a new logo for SAGE?

By the way, unfortunately I am not a born graphic designer.

I like the logo!
And i don't see a reason to change it.
But it's purely a matter of taste.

Personally, I like the logo. But if you don't, you could always
change it on your copy of sage! The command html_banner, in devel/
sage-main/sage/server/notebook/notebook.py, is what references that
image. I think just changing the the line

to point to what you want would do it.
