Hi, about two months ago there was the Linux Day here in Italy. For the occasion I prepared a presentation about Sage. If you speak Italian and want to check it out, you can find it on my blog, with 4 short video demos!

Best regards,

Molto bello. Non capisco che c'entrano le scimmie, ma bello comunque.
(Very nice. I don't understand what the monkeys have to do with it, but it's nice all the same.)

Non si sente niente dagli video -- era l'intenzione?
(I didn't hear anything from the videos -- is that deliberate?)

I didn't see any monkeys (?) but I did notice that you had axes in
your Sierpinski triangle; might as well use axes=False with those so
they don't distract. Nice!

Eh eh. :) The monkeys were there while I was saying this concept (more or less):

"different software speak different languages with a lot of various syntaxes... Sage does the work of translation so you can communicate with all of those programs, like a universal interpreter"

Non si sente niente dagli video -- era l'intenzione?

Yes, I was "live commenting" them with my voice, sorry for that. :P

They're in the slide deck. ;)

Yes you're right. The fractal was developed by two high school girls friend of mine, while I was teaching them to use Sage; in an unrelated event. I used the idea for the triangle in order to explain what is a recursive function.

When I posted the code online on the website of the "Young mathematicians of [the province of] Vicenza" I tweaked it a bit so there are no axes: http://giovani.mathesisvicenza.it/forum/topic.php?id=387

I'm glad you like it.

One last thing... I forgot to mention that you can find the (very short) transcript at the bottom of this page: http://portal.sliderocket.com/CGTDK/Matematica-di-base-e-avanzata-con-Sage and maybe you can use Google Translate if needed. :)

Regards,
