For those who may have been asleep when this news broke, Levent Alpöge used Claude to find a counterexample to the Jacobian conjecture in dimension 3. This example has already been posted to Wikipedia; it will be implemented as a doctest in Sage as soon as someone reviews #42563.

What CAS/library is Claude using?
I chatted with Claude, Gemini and ChatGPT and neither of them could
use sage for computations only standard python modules. Ironically all
of them could write working sage code (with minor exceptions).
