It seems to die building fflas_ffpack because of missing option '-fopenmp'
my xcode commandline tools claim to be up to date.
Attached are the config.log and fflas_ffpack .log

You might want to install the Homebrew packages from Macaulay2 tap, and from dimpase tap.
This will give you all the linbox/fflas_ffpack, givaro, frobby, etc, already pre-built.

Having said this, it's all tracked at

which should work (there are CI errors I can't explain) and
where you can find all the details on why this is not quite working.

There seems to be a mismatch between the fflas-ffpack provided by Macaulay2 and the fflas_ffpack expected by sage.
