Fiddling with this ask.sagemath question, I was led to create  Trac#29833 ; further review of possibly related tickets showed that the old Trac#14764, seems to have been serendipitously fixed during the recent Sage history.

I marked the latter as invalid and requested review ; the former may be trickier than it seems prima facie...
