Hello all,
We are happy to announce Sage Days 131, alternatively called "Sage Days Western Canada 2026: Rocky Mountains", which will happen from June 7-12 in the beautiful mountains of Kananaskis, Alberta, Canada at the University of Calgary's Barrier Lake Field Station facility! More details can be found on our website for the event: https://sagedayswesterncanada.github.io/
We are open to participants of all skill levels and mathematical areas. While we are not explicitly focused on any particular area of Sage, we expect there will be a significant amount of number theorists as all organizers are themselves number theorists. Applications will open Monday February 2nd, but feel free to reach out early (sagedays....@ucalgary.ca) if you have any questions or if you have additional needs that we will need to plan for (e.g. childcare, wheelchair accessibility). The cost of accommodations at the venue for the entire workshop, which includes all meals, will be in the range of $500 to $600 CAD. We hope to be able to cover the cost of accommodations and meals for as many students and postdocs as possible. There will be no registration fee beyond the cost of accommodations.
We thank the Pacific Institute for the Mathematics Science for providing funding for this event.
Sincerely,
Vincent Macri, on behalf of the organizing committee:
Antoine Leudière (University of Calgary, PIMS-CNRS post-doctoral fellow)
Vincent Macri (University of Calgary, PhD student)
Renate Scheidler (University of Calgary, professor)
P.S. We would appreciate if someone with the permissions to edit https://wiki.sagemath.org/Workshops would list this event there.
