Mercurial refuses to access to combinat.sagemath.org

Dear All,

I'm stuck on the following agravating problem: hg refuses to connect to
combinat:

popcorn-*oved/.hg/patches $ hg --debug pull -u
using http://combinat.sagemath.org/patches/
sending capabilities command
abort: error: Connection reset by peer

or

popcorn-/tmp $ hg --debug clone http://combinat.sagemath.org/patches/
using http://combinat.sagemath.org/patches/
sending capabilities command
abort: error: Connection reset by peer

I tried to
- use sage or my distro's version of mercurial
- remove my .hgrc
without any changes.

There is no problem accessing with my browser. At this point, I've no idea on
how to get more information on what's happening. Any suggestion ?

the latter command (hg --debug clone http://combinat.sagemath.org/patches/ )

works for me, I didn't try the former.
