Hello,

I would like to add stuff to
https://wiki.sagemath.org/ReleaseTours/sage-9.1 but I cannot do that
with my github account (that I use to edit tickets).
Could someone create a proper trac account for me? Desired username:
jfraymond.

Best regards,

Jean-Florent Raymond.

That's unfortunate. We urgently should look into a modern way to edit
the wiki, e.g.
by putting it on git.

Perhaps we can create a mirror of our wiki pages on GitHub - there
could be formatting issues to overcome
for compatibility purposes.
Then our wiki will be a, say, daily, read-only, snapshot of
https://github.com/sagemath/sage/wiki
- where all editing will happen.

Done.

There were already some discussions about GitHub vs. GitLab. Some were
not happy about moving to GitHub (in a different context), mostly
because of its proprietary nature.

I am not sure what is the best solution to editing permissions of the
MoinMoin wiki, but one possibility is switching to trac. We already have
some wiki pages in trac [0]. This also makes it easier to link to
tickets, and the syntax is the same as in the ticket themselves.

+1, as this would reduce the number of systems in use by 1 and would solve the problem with permissions.

In fact, there is only a rather small number of useful pages on wiki.sagemath.org
I would propose that only these are migrated to Trac.
Everything else is at best of historical interest; a read-only archive of these pages should be sufficient.
When done, perhaps wiki.sagemath.org could redirect to Trac.
