Last week I proposed that we activate GitHub Projects on the sagemath/sage GitHub repo to provide a tool to better organize larger/long-term development tasks. See the original thread for discussion on how this tool could be useful: https://groups.google.com/g/sage-devel/c/X4lEzPEeoTs

I am now calling for a vote to have the admins of the sagemath GitHub organization enable this feature for the sagemath/sage repository. Voting will end April 27th at 3:00 PM MDT (UTC-6).

To make tallying votes easier, please only respond to this thread with your vote, and keep any discussion to the original proposal thread.

I've enabled Projects on sagemath/sage; let me know if you run into any technical issues!

Thank you David! I did notice a weird permissions issue, but there is an
easy enough workaround.

As a member of the Triage team, I do not have permission to create new
Projects from https://github.com/sagemath/sage/projects. But I can
create a new Project from https://github.com/orgs/sagemath/projects then
set the default repository on the project to sagemath/sage, after which
it shows up in https://github.com/sagemath/sage/projects. I've done this
with https://github.com/orgs/sagemath/projects/1 which Tobias a while
ago to track flaky CI problems. This seems to be not quite the same as
"linking" a Project (I'm not sure how they are different, but there are
different buttons for linking Projects versus setting the default
repository when I create a Project in an organization I am an admin of).
If there is a way to increase the Project permissions for Triage team
that would be nice, but if not I think this workaround is good enough (I
can't find anything in the GitHub Docs about how to do this).

There is one other permission that I think would be good to enable:
allowing us to make projects we create public. This permission is
documented:
https://docs.github.com/en/organizations/managing-organization-settings/allowing-project-visibility-changes-in-your-organization
