Hi,

If you've been to UW and have any thoughts about *where* at UW we
should have Sage Dev Days 1,
let me know in this thread.

My current preference is for the Mechanical Engineering building again
- -that worked very well last time
for Sage Days 4. But some of you might have some clever new ideas,
especially the undergrads.
And we can probably get almost any building on campus as long as it's
not being used for some
graduation event. Please share your ideas.

I'm opposed to using the communications building. At SD 2 it was hot,
miserable, cramped, etc...
The library also wasn't so good...

I really liked the room we used for SD4, personally. The only thing it
had going against it was its distance to the Ave, but if we could
organize some ordering of food or whatnot for at least one of the two
meals each day, the walk might be nice. I also want to point out that
the fact that the building was easy to get in and out of was a huge
perk -- I definitely didn't like getting locked out of the
communications building during SD2. :)

So, looking at Tom's email:

+1 for MEB
+1 for PAR if it's low security
-1 for LAW on account of the high security (unless there's an easy way
around this)

Despite being local, I don't know the (non-math) buildings here as
well as the undergrads, but I think the MEB worked out well last
time. I think being a ways from the Ave isn't a huge issue,
especially as Craig pointed out we could (informally at least) order
in for some of the meals.
